Oops

I skipped a couple of blogging days because i was busy running around a few cities picking things up and doing work etc. And as today i’m at the Games Society Hallowe’en Game Event i have very little time to actually think up a constructive topic to blog about. So i’m going to let Dane Hart do it for me (with their permission of course)

These two are hilarious but they cover a very important topic: Keeping your #@%$ together (in four parts…it is quite long so only watch all four if you have about half an hour spare)

Part I
Part II
Part III
Part IV

Enjoy!

And HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

By popular demand

(of um..one person…but i’m sure my parents want to see this ;) and possibly my brothers) here’s what i learnt at the Circus meet up yesterday.

First i’m doing the “alternate beat Mexican Wave”, which means the poi circle in front together, then one arm swings it behind, then i circle in front again, then the other arm circles it behind. I moved the tempo up from every few circles to every other.

Then i decided to try and do the actual Mexican Wave. Yeah.. you may see me grinning like an idiot, that’s me realising i’m doing the Wave without having really thought about it. It’s pretty cool to see me learning on camera huh? good job i film my practises in my room lol.

So here we go (please, for the love of god, ignore me singing):

Cool, huh? (comments always welcome by the way…i like to know who’s watching my videos so i know how often to post them)

"I don't like Monday's…"

The word on the blogs today is that Monday’s suck, and I’m inclined to believe them.

You get up early, and even if you don’t have school/work/things to do etc, you get that Monday morning feeling. The feeling that it’s the start of the week and you should be going back to your usual routine and trying to stick out the day. I think it comes from years of being in school 9am Monday morning, every week for about 11 years (except school holidays of course, but if you’re like me you got up early on those days too).

40k

If you’ve been paying attention, you might have noticed that my word counter in the side bar has increased. Oh yes, i broke 40k yesterday night (around midnight actually…).

That is the most i have ever written on one story in my entire life. It was a moment to be proud of i think :) It also meant that yesterday, after months of not writing on Vigilante, i did just over 3K.

And i also did exercise! i walked for maybe 45 minutes, up and down hills and got quite a good work out. I’m actually trying to lose a bit of weight – if you watched my poi video, you’ll know why! Also, two of my friends have started up a website called Fat Chicks Running and i said i’d join them on the mission to get fitter (though i am NOT running 5K, or a half marathon. With my asthma i’d make it about 5 steps)

So yesterday was very productive. My goal for today is to add more to Vigilante…maybe reach 45K…We’ll see.

Poi!

Indeedy! I joined the Circus here in university (no, seriously, i did. We’re not an official society so we’re technically just a circus ;) ) and i’ve started to learn a new skill/hobby. It’s much more difficult than it looks, and actually took me a good few weeks to learn (as in we had our fourth meet up last monday and i finally got the hang of it.)

This is me demonstating it. I even left in the bits with me messing up (my room is small and the Poi kept hitting things like books, ok?)

Procrastination

It’s amazing how much we can do to avoid working. for instance, this morning i am bound and determined to work on Vigilante…but i haven’t even opened word yet. Instead of my day running like this:

so without further ado, the winner is:

and now for an announcement:

Re-Review ;)

My long term readers may remember me posting this up about half way through August.
Riding Temptation
Well, the time has finally come! Jaci Burton’s RIDING TEMPTATION is releasing next Tuesday on the 7th of October! Go and buy it…like…right now! (pre-ordering is your friend). This is a book that made me sit down, and stay there until I’d finished the entire thing (and i had an E-ARC…yeah i killed my eyes but it was worth it.)

If you like motor bikes, leather, hard riding and faster thrills, you’ll love this book. Like a motorbike ride it has sharp turns, long slow stretches of pleasurable riding ( ;) yes i mean it like that) and all the high speed, full throttle action you could wish for.

This is definitely one you don’t want to miss. (see my other review, plus a blurb, under the jump!)

Oh! and as an addendum, the heroine has a really interesting piercing…you’ll find out what i mean ;)
