Some pictures

because it’s easier than a real update.

Here’s the view of my room from the door.

Ignore the messy bed and weird blue and orange horned hat – i won it at a party.

Sorry!

I know i said i’d have infrequent posts, but life just got so hectic i barely have time to even check my mail let alone blog!
I have now moved into university, having a really good time (except i did end up covered in shaving foam and beer earlier – long story). I have a day free tomorrow, so if i’m coherent, i’ll put something up. ciao for now.

RG Alexander…

…has a new book release! PIERCING THE VEIL will be available September 17th from Ellora’s Cave

Genre: Paranormal erotic romance/menage
cover

Here’s the blurb:
Twins Hawk and Val are Fianna warriors under the vengeful curse of a scorned goddess. Following the prophecy in the Book of Veils, they search for the one who can help them retrieve the Claiomh Solais before their enemies get the chance. Their quest leads them to Linnea. One touch and there can be no doubt that they have found their match. But will she accept them once she knows the truth?

Linnea is no one special. So why is she on the run from evil faeries and her egotistical ex? Why is she suddenly spending time in the company of dragons, druids, and one kinky Viking with a split personality? All she knows is she has to keep her daughter safe from those who hunt her, and her heart safe from another betrayal.

To protect one gifted child and all of humanity from the dark god that seeks retribution, they must learn to trust each other. To have a future together, they must find the perfect balance.

Isn’t that such a cool sounding book? and how awesome is that cover?

Well,

It seems like i’ve been tagged! The comment got caught in my spam filter so i only found it today. Ms. Savvy One has tagged me to do this meme.

The rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. List 6 unspectacular quirks you have.
4. Tag 6 bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each person’s blog to let them know they’ve been tagged.

My quirks then.

1. I’m OCD enough to freak out over small changes in routine, but not OCD enough to be diagnosed. (i did psychology in college, so i do know)
2. I refuse to drink anything that’s room temperature. I have to have it cold or at least chilled because otherwise i don’t like the taste.
3. i hate alchohol. I don’t like the taste of it and even a small sip will make me feel funny/sick so i don’t touch the stuff.
4. I’m a trekkie.
5. I’m a gamer! I play Unreal Tournament Game of the year edition, and Team fortress 2 all the time, enough that i’m actually hurting my wrist lol.
and the 6th quirk
6. I love Archaeology and history and often visit the museum here in Cardiff where i live. I’m probably one of the most regular visitors as i go 5 or 6 times a year.

I tag anyone who wants to comment on this post.

"Dangerous" Cake in a mug

While browsing my usual blog haunts i came across a recipe on Angela James’ blog about a cake in a mug. I just HAD to try it, despite not really being able to bake. I used the second recipe she put down (the cleaner version basically) only without the chocolate chips because my corner shop didn’t have any.

Now, i’m an ok cook (no, seriously, i make a mean egg fried rice, and you should try my pasta a la fenton) but i think i messed up somewhere in here….i’m not sure though because i’m too scared to try it in case i kill myself.

Packing

Yup… time is a-flying and i’m off in FIVE DAYS! So i decided it was time to finish up the rest of my packing, which meant packing most of my clothes, some everyday things i can do without for a few days (like hair spray crap) and bulky stuff like ornaments.

Here’s a few pics from the last hour or so.

clothing

do you think i like black clothing or what? I just got a load out of the wash so not all of my clothes are packed yet ;)

blurry

it’s a tad blurry because my camera refuses to focus when it’s anything less than full daylight. that’s all of my stuff to take!! Good job my future father-in-law has a large car and the time to give me a lift! from the left, that’s my clothes suitcase, purple box of stationary, duffle bag has tinned food and pasta (to last me around 2 weeks) that camping bag has pillows and some bedding in it. Then the other suitcase has kitchen things, and stuff like that, and then it’s a laundry hamper with my double douvet in it (i’m amazing at packing ;) ). Oh! and the printer.

i’m also taking this with me:
fairy

she comes with wings but for some reason only one fits in properly so i kept them off. I just love this statue! I’m just wondering how much more i can take with me with all the stuff i’m already taking, so i may have to leave her behind. We’ll see :)

Been busy again

Packing, spending time with my fiance while i can, and updating my website.

This past year i was on a module at university called “IT for writers”, one of the things we had to do for assessment was build a website from scratch using just html. I got a pretty good grade if i do say so myself, and i still have the skills i learnt, which came in handy while i was doing this. Most of the content on that was from the website i built this last year. The template is by a fellow diva and all in all i think i did ok.

I’ll be updating it slowly as time goes by, but keep an eye on my “work” page as i have stories on there which i’ll be adding to.

Bwahahaha!

Sound quality is a little (ok a lot, turn it up) bad but:

The guy back right is my little brother. I use the term “little” loosely as he’s like a foot taller than me, but he is my younger brother :D

He is the “guest star” mentioned at the end (if you make it that way) and no, his name is NOT actually Fenton…he just goes by that rather than his real name.
